About Thizzler On The Roof

Thizzler On The Roof Entertainment is a media distribution service dedicated to getting good Bay Area music to the fans without major label or mainstream media support. We started in 2010 to provide an local artists an alternative to commercial radio and aim to provide a foundation from which Bay Area artists can reach national & global audiences.

What We Do:

We've developed a number of different methods & outlets to help Bay Area artists reach their goals. Here are a few of them:

Thizzler.com: A blog for Bay Area music only, updated multiple times per day with new music, videos, mixtapes, interviews and more. Through the blog, artists can reach new & old fans and are given a professional looking page they can promote if they choose to.

The Bay Report: The Bay Report is a monthly mixtape, mixed by our very own DJ Ghost, which features the best music released throughout the month for free download. The Bay Report allows artists to reach new audiences and provides fans with a way to get a condensed "report" of what was released in the Bay Area that month.

The Bay Area Freshmen 10: The Bay Area Freshmen 10 is a yearly award presented by Thizzler On The Roof, that was founded by DJ Amen of 106.1 FM KMEL in 2010. Since 2010, 10 of the most promising up & coming Bay Area artists have been selected to be in that year's Bay Area Freshmen class. Originally just DJ Amen's picks, the process has evolved to involve voting from the public and leaders of each Bay Area hip-hop sub-community to determine who should represent the Bay Area.

Thizzler Presents...: Thizzler frequently presents albums, mixtapes, and videos from artists we feel have potential to make it on a national level. We provide the tools necessary to create a professional product, such as video directors, graphic designers, hosting, and promotion.

Under The Bay: The Under The Bay series was a weekly interview series with the dopest independent and up & coming Bay Area hip-hop artists. The 3rd season ended in July of 2011.
