This week I have been slappin' that new Eligh...
I know Eligh is from L.A.. but there is no denying that Eligh has love for the Bay and I am a huge fan so you know I'm going to be bumping his newest release, Grey Crow. For those of you not in the know Eligh is a dope M.C. producer, member of the Living Legends, and all around Hip Hop head that reps the West hard core. He has had over 10 solo albums, plus the work he has done with 3MG, Grouch and Eligh and The Living Legends, it is safe to say he is a hustler when it comes to the rap game. Grey Crow is an epic album featuring 17 full tracks, 17 instrumental, and 4 bonus tracks for a total of 38 NEW songs from the Living Legend himself, Eligh. Grey Crow features some dope production by Eligh, hands down some of the most progressive and innovating from work he has done. His abilities to take samples from some of your favorite songs and flip them into something completely different and innovating is crazy. Songs like Find Yourself and When I'm A Dad are great examples of Eligh's abilities to turn old into new. Eligh is also pushing the bar with original production that reflects his own personal taste and rap style that will make you say; Why isn't this guy the most talked about man in Hip Hop. Tracks like Skitzo and Beneath The Sea will make you think that you are listening to a Rap album from 2020 instead of 2010. Grey Crow features some of the best underground artist such as: Marty James, Zumbi of Zion I, Aseop Rock, Brother Ali, Scarub, Pigeon John and of course The Grouch. Suffocate featuring Marty James really showcases how Eligh can make create something that works for the featured artist, but also has a uniquely Eligh feel to it. It is so good to have Eligh back, he is doing his thing in a major way! Grey Crow stands out in a sea of duplicates, it's fresh perspective on the fast paced lyrical flow and Eligh's style on the production will make you want more, and there is! 4 bonus tracks and plus all the new DJ fresh and Eligh battle tracks that are out there. Eligh is simply killin' it with Grey Crow so go give props where props are do and cop Grey Crow.
