106.1 KMEL, well known for supporting the thriving artist scene in and
around Northern California's Bay Area has taken it to a new level in 2010.
KMEL All Star DJ, Dj Amen announced a few weeks back he was working on a
list of artists to watch out for in the near future. Sparking major
attention via the internet and word of mouth, Amen spearheaded the
campaign and got input from followers on twitter, email submissions, well
known Bay Area bloggers, DJs, tastemakers, and consumers to deliver the
2010 Freshmen class of Bay Area artists to keep an eye on. After the
announcement Friday night on KMEL with fellow KMEL DJ's Big Von & DJ Mere,
Amen debuted some of the artists songs and received a overwhelming
