One of this year's Bay Area Red Bull Big Tune semi-finalists, Bay Area producer Dex Beats has been making beats for Bay Area rap legends for a long time. He exploded onto the scene with San Quinn's "Rockin Up Work" and has produced for everyone from Mistah F.A.B. to Husalah of the Mob Figaz (most recently with the slap "You Neva Know"). Em Dub got a chance to sit down with Dex Beats at his studio in South San Francisco and talked about how he got his name, his process for making a song, what projects he has coming up, and his favorite beat he's made along with his favorite beat of all time.
