« Big Tune 2010 SF (Exclusive Live Footage) »

There was a war going on Friday night at the DNA Lounge. Snares rat-a-tatted through the air, samples tore through ear drums, killer kicks and bazooka basslines ricocheted off the walls and into the crowd. It wasn't any ordinary beat battle: it was the Red Bull Big Tune, a yearly beat battle that attracts the biggest and fastest rising producers in the game. Some of the stars in attendance were Rick Rock, DJ Toomp, Jake One, and Nottz, and they weren't even the ones doing the beat slinging! Due to lack of camera battery I was only able to capture 3 battles (Traxamillion vs. Mikos in round 1, Hitmakers vs. pOETiqbEATs in round 2, and the championship round with Hitmakers vs. Cam). Trax vs. Mikos is up above, after the jump you'll find the other 2 plus a spoiler on the winner of the battle.

If you caught any dope footage of the battle, hit me up! We'd love to feature it on the site!

Cam and Hitmakers ended up tieing after sudden death and were made co-champions.
