DOWNLOAD: SMG Presents - Clap City 2: Clap Or Die
This week I have been slappin' the latest from the leaders of the new school in the Bay and their compilation, Clap City 2: Clap or Die. So you might be asking yourself what the hell is Clap City and who is part of it? Well Clap or Die includes tracks from such up and comers such as Mike-Dash-E, ST Spittin, Iamsu!, Damey, Jay Ant and many, many others. The first thing you are going to notice when you pop in Clap City 2: Clap or Die is its hype, every track sounds fresh. The energy from these youngsters is infused in every track; there is no way you can deny the style. Instead of going over the whole album and every song I am going to just pick out a few that I am REALLY feelin' just because I would be here all night and I got some bleezies to handle. Yaddimean? I am going to kick it off with Store Run by Damey. Store Run has a dope concept to it, I mean how many times tonight have I made a store run?--six to be exact. The beat has a dope old school G-Funk feel to it with some 2010 New Bay drums, its a fresh combination and Damey' flips his flows on Store Run as well as anyone on Clap or Die. Another slapper or clapper if you may, that I am really feelin' is Whole Crew by Iamsu!. I am not usually a big fan of Auto-Tune, but Iamsu!'s voice really lends its self to Auto-Tune. Who said death to Auto-Tune? I still think it has a place in Hip Hop. Remember that fresh sound that I was talking about earlier, well Whole Crew is the definition of that up and coming Bay Area swag. St Spittin is also featured on Clap or Die2: Clap City with his track See The Boy. In my opinion ST Spittin has the best flow and lyrical "flippage" on Clap City which is prominent on his track See The Boy. See The Boy is that raw backpack hip hop mixed with that Bay swag. Fire! Other bangers on Clap City2: Clap or Die include Bout That Time, Burnin Up, and #Getitbackmam. Those are just a few of the tracks I'm feelin' of the total 25 bangers on Clap City 2: Clap or Die. Did I mention that Clap City is hosted by DJ B E Z and DJ Amen, well they do so you know the album is going to be moving like the Mississippi. When listening to Clap City 2: Clap or Die you can just feel the raw energy and talent that is oozing out of these kids. I am really excited to hear young MC from the Bay who are full of energy and excitement. You might as well as hop on the train right now, because this wont be the last time you hear from this batch of young talent. Oh one more thing its a free download! You can get it right here on the Thizzler, it only take a few seconds and you will be clappin' along!
