« What's Slappin' In My Trunk »
This week we are going to trial...

This week I'm slappin' the latest from The Jacka, The Indictment. The Jacka dropped The Indictment on September 27th and I haven't been able to stop slappin' it. The Jacka brings a whole host of cutties along to rock the mic on The Indictment including Freeway, Erk That Jerk, San Quinn, J. Stalin, Laroo, and even called the Federal penn and got a surprise guest appearance from X-Raided. The Indictment drops with a skit dealing with a news report on a raided house. This will be a theme on The Indictment; there are four of these skits and to be honest I could have really done with out them. I want more music! The music does kick off with All We Do featuring Laroo. All We Do has a really dope drawn out guitar hook, that really suits the pairing of Jacka and Larroo. The single feature of Laroo on All We Do would have been dope enough, but The Jacka had to hit us with the remix that features J. Stalin. Stalin's verse on the remix of All We Do goes hella hard. Up next is that X-Raided track Murder On My Mind which also features Smigg Dirtee. I want to know how Jacka got X-Raided on the track, which he raps over the phone and isn't half bad considering he has been out the rap game for a minute. I have to give props to The Jacka for giving it up to an underground legend and reaching out to X-Raided for the track. Oh did I mention Smigg Dirtee is on the track? Yeah he actually has the best verse on Murder On My Mind don't skip his verse to get to that X-Raided you will be missing out. American Dream featuring San Quinn has to be one of my favorite tracks on The Indictment. The Jacka really comes with his verse that has a nice rhythm to it which we don't hear out of The Jacka a lot. San Quinn straight kills his verse; I could really feel a San Quinn and Jacka callabo...American Dream is a tough as nail look at what the American Dream has become and what it mean to certain people. American Dream is backed up by another slapper, proably the "best" song on The Indictment, Both Coast featuring Freeway and Erk Tha Jerk. Now what would a new Jacka album be with a guest appearance by Freeway. These two emcee have been working on each others projects for some time now. The respect level between the two is very evident as you can hear it on the track. It's also nice to hear Freeway and Erk on the same track. The Jacka hands down murders his verse on Both Coast on which he even calls out suckas for sounding effeminate and like eminem. Love the controversy! Other bangers on The Indictment include We Do This For You featuring Lil Rue and Please Jack. The Indictment is a nice piece of work, is it Tear Gas, no but it does feature perfected rhymes from Jacka, and nice production. I guess it's the Bay's independent spirit and hustle that has artists pumping out new material all the time, which is totally respectable, and The Jacka is the king of that hustle. So if your feening for some new Jacka, go out and make to slap The Indictment in the trunk.
