Indecent The Slapmaster presents: Perk'N & Network'N
This week I'm slappin' the latest compilation from Indecent The Slapmaster, Network'n & Perk'n. Indecent The Slapmaster did 100% of the production on this 33 track slapper featuring the likes of Agerman, E-40, Acktup, Mistah F.A.B., Roach Gigiz, Yung Lott, and many, many more. The great thing about having a wide variety of artists on Network'n & Perk'n is that it will expose you to a ton of Bay Area artist that you might not have had the chance to listen to. If you were like me and coped the album/skipped to the first E-40 song you will be happily surprise to been jamming through the complete track list even if you haven't heard some of these artist before. Now I don't have the time to run through all 30+ songs so I'm just going to hand pick my top slappers, but trust me the whole compilation is defiantly worth a listen. The my favorite track on Network'n & Perk'n hands down is Get Drunk by Indecent and featuring Get Rich. Get Drunk has a real dope, crunchy "classic" slapmaster beat behind it that will have people snappin' their necks. Indecent and Get Rich get down on Get Drunk with a light hearted party anthem which are always my favorite tracks. I have to give Indecent The Slapmaster some proppers for getting Get Rich on the mic, this Concord MC is not very known, but has some serious skills. Indecent The Slapmaster got his hands on a real knock, E-40's The Server to remix. Now I'm not usually into remixs, because the original artist usually got it right the first time, but The Server remixed by Indecent The Slapmaster turned it to the 11th level. Indecent hits the E-40 track with this really cool drippy sound mixed with high high frequency synths that turned this E-40 track from a street anthem into a radio friendly jam. Another banger that Slapmaster knocks out of the park is Iced Out Lifestyle. Moe Green kills this smoothed out beat that has a distinctively different feel to it than the rest of Network'n & Perk'n. Not that Iced Out Lifestyle doesn't fit into the compilation it just has a different silkier sound. Indecent The Slapmaster is not a one trick pony when it comes to the production and Iced Out Lifestyle as well as tracks such as Propose On The Dance Floor, and Block Service are all great examples of his range. I was really impressed with Network'n & Perk'n, becuase it wasn't trying to fit into one box, it had a little something for everyone. If you are looking for a great introduction to a huge group of up and comers/street artists/and veterans all mixed with a distinctevely Vallejo, Slapmaster feel than Network'n & Perk'n is the FREE compilation for you.
