My first Artist up to the plate is Miss TRUE JONES, an EXTREMELY talented female rapper from the streets of RICHMOND (my hood). True is one of the best female rappers I have heard in a while and ALL her music comes from the heart. She is on her way to being the FIRST FEMALE TOP 10 FRESHMAN. Her new track "Sex with a Virgo" is something I've been feeling it for a week now and it's featuring P CHILD. I asked True a few questions and this ONE answer stood out to me. I asked her what is keeping her grind up and she replied "Richmond, CA is what keeps me grinding! What keeps me grinding is the fact that I have something to say and I know its someone else somewhere that feels the same way I do in regards to any subject matter. I want to be the type of artist that grows with my fans. I speak from experience so I'm not sellin any dreams or talking about things that I've never done. I MAKE REAL MUSIC." Now this guy right here has Twitter and Youtube going CRAZY with his new dance and song, not to mention his swag is off the Richter Scale. We all know this cat as SALTY aka Mr. Hit The Granny himself. Straight from Richmond, CA, this man has nothing but HUSTLE in his blood. His heart is left in the streets of his hood and is giving back with nothing but positivity. This man made a song and 4 months later was put on one of the HOTTEST mixtapes (CLAP CITY 2). "Granny" is produced by a 16 year old who makes beats better then 20 year olds name Bri (@BriIsMyHero)..This song right here has a beat like no other and even turns the $hmopfest's OUT... I asked Salty what gave him the motivation for this dance he said, "I was in the studio one day & I was thinking about my granny, who I recently lost to cancer.  I just thought about a flash back of when I had asked her for something.  My room wasn't clean & she had finger in the gesture of "no", saying "not till you clean this room". And I thought then and there about "Hit the Granny" having something that is motivating from a family member that you lost is something strong to hold on to..." His passion is STRONG and motivation is nothing less he told me this about his motivation, "To deliver a message to the people that still wanna have fun and listen to good music.. I just wanna make the people dance. the supporter that I have keep me grinding and make me want to make more music for them to have fun too. the whole purpose of my music is to have fun while listen to the music, while giving people hope and understand where I come from." Last but not least is the Beach boy himself Arrrrmmmaaaaannnnnnniiiiiiiiiiiii.... This guy right here is ROCKING the streets With TALENT... Armani Depaul is one of the rappers that FORSURE will be getting my votes this year for Bay Area Top 10 Freshman this year and DESERVES it. His music is electric and his song "Shorty Bad" PROVES it. Im sure you heard it on KMEL and I'm sure you're thinking, "Wow, this kid got it!" Armani has the attitude to match his music and to me if you put good music out you should be proud of your music. In the interview he said, "I feel confident and I know I will be one of the biggest artist ever to come out the bay no doubt in my mind at all," with that attitude you gotta live up to it and he has. I asked what his motivation to grind is and he replied, "I think in pictures and from time to time I envision me on top, financially stable and well known and that keeps me going. This is who I am and all I know I really love it .. its keeps me motivated to live"... Armani is also featured on CLAP CITY 2, with a few songs and they all stand up to the plate...
