« What's Slappin' In My Trunk »
This week I'm slappin some brand new ish...
This week I've been slappin' the latest from Agerman and Indecent the Slapmaster, The Streets Made Me Do It. Agerman from 3xKrazy and Indecent the Slapmaster have joined forces to create an album that brings back that trunk rattling feel good sound that the Bay has been missing. Agerman has been serving the Lord for the past few years, making 9 gospel Hip Hop albums but, Agerman is back with a more street rounded Hip Hop album that will have you snappin' your neck. Indecent the Slapmaster laces the beat throughout the The Streets Made Me Do It which has a G-Funk and neo-hyphy sound that I am really feeling. The Streets Made Me Do It kicks off with I Go Hard, which is a great intro to get reacquainted with Agerman. I Go Hard really sets the tone for Agerman and Indecent for The Streets Made Me Do It. One of my favorite tracks is up next Pro featuring Lady E and Marcellous Carter. Pro has a great synth behind it with crunchy bass that will make the trunk knock. If you thought The Streets Made Me Do It was going to be another gospel album from Agerman Pro will awake you to the fact that even though Agerman can keep it real with the Lord he can still keep it real with the streets. Marcellous Carter and Lady E also do their thing and have some of the dopest features on The Streets Made Me Do It. They Love Me Though is up next and features a dope hook from Agerman where he shouts out Bay Area rap legends. Some might say this is name dropping but, I think Agerman is paying his props to the Bay. They Love Me Though is not a track to be skipped over! Indecent The Slapmaster and Agerman come with two of the slappiest songs on The Streets Made Me Do It next with Just Livin' and Shining. Just Livin' featuring Dre Green & K.O.B. is a track where Agerman, Dre Green and K.O.B. break is down about their lives over one of the hardest beats I have come out of Slapmaster. In contrast Shining featuring K.O.B. & Young Dru still slaps super hard, but has more of party good time feel that harkens back to the days when the Bay was shining! Defiantly two tracks not to sleep on. Others bangers to make sure to not miss on The Streets Made Me Do It include All Gas featuring J. Minixx, Survivvor featuring Indecent, and Yall Scared featuring K.O.B. There really isn't a non-slapper on The Streets Made Me Do It, it's really good to hear Agerman do his non-gospel rap thing on the latest album. I mean I respect his choice to serve the Lord, but its good to hear Agerman do music with a broader appeal. Indecent the Slapmaster did an excellent job producing the entire album, and I was feeling all the features especially K.O.B., Young Dru, and J. Minixx. It's official, Agerman is back and The Streets Made Me Do It, go out and cop the new album when it drops on April 19th.
