This week I am so icy…

This week I have been slappin’ the brand new EP from Kafani, Bay Area Boss. Kafani struck gold in the late 2007 with his hit single Fast (Like a NASCAR) and ever since then he has been on his grind dropping Movin’ Mean in 2009 and hooking up with the likes of Gucci Man and Erk Tha Jerk. Bay Area Boss is only a short 6 tracks deep, but each song will grab you and make you feel like you were throwing Jacksons on strippers. Now who doesn’t like throwing cash on her? Speaking of throwing cash, Bay Area Boss kicks off with Throw the Cash on Her featuring Rayven Justice. Throw the Cash on Her is exactly what you expect from the title a slowed down, dancer anthem that will have your women grinding all over you. Rayven Justice lays down a soulful hook that is in stark contrast to Kafani’s misogynistic lyrics. A perfect combination!  Next up is She Ready Now another stripper anthem that has taken over local as well as national radio. She Ready Now features that unforgettable hook “upside down, swinging on the pole. I don’t even have to tell her which way to go” if you can’t dig that then you probably shouldn’t be reading my articles. Even though the remix of She Ready Now featuring Gucci Man isn’t on Bay Area Boss make sure you check that out, it’s even better than the original. Now what would be a Hip Hop album without a dance song and that is exactly what Baller Roll is. Baller Roll doesn’t have much to it except a really catchy hook and a catchy dance that is sweeping the nation. I even saw Lil Wayne doing the Baller Roll in a YouTube video the other day. My prediction is that everyone will be doing the Baller Roll this summer. Up next is my favorite track on Bay Area Boss Got a Lot featuring Lucian. Got a Lot is Kafani’s most lyrical song on the EP. I had no idea that Kafani could spit with the speed and the wit that he comes with on Got a Lot. Lucian is no slacker either he flips the nouns and the verbs with the best of them. Make sure you listen to Got a Lot first if you are still not sure about Kafani. Rounding out Bay Area Boss we have Love This Life and V.I.P. featuring Rayven Justice both good songs that will have you bobbin’ your head and crankin’ up your stereo. I have to be 100 with you guys I wasn’t a big Kafani fan before Bay Area Boss  but after giving the album a good listen I am now a Kafani fucking baby follower. Make sure you go out now and cop Bay Area Boss by Kafani. Ice King Baby!
