At this point in the summer all eyes are on the Olympics, and The Bay is very well represented. UC Berkeley sent 38 current and former student athletes to the games and Stanford sent 27. That’s more than a lot of countries. To top things off, already over the weekend, former UC Berkeley swimmers, Dana Volmer set the world record in the 100-meter butterfly, and Nathan Adrian, got silver in the 400-meter free relay. 2 medals in two 2 days ain’t bad.
